We are moved in...

On Tuesday afternoon at about 3:30pm we recieved the keys to our apartment and began moving in. It is a great feeling to finally have our own place to come home to at the end of the day. Here is stage 1 Here is stage 2 ...and well stage 3 is probably about a week out. We are making progress...slow progress though. However, we did sleep in our own bedroom the night we moved in with our own bed and sheets.

Blueberrie Picking

This week we also got to go bluberrie picking with Mrs. Olson. It was a lot of fun! it took me a while to figure out which ones to pick. After you pick them they dont ripen any more so you have to make sure that you actually pick ones that are ready. If they are really ready they almost fall off of the branch. And I found that the best palce to pick them was at the bottom of the bush! It was a ton of fun. We also picked blackberries.

Hey all!

Im sitting at Starbucks and I remembered that I have not blogged any thing in a really long time! Well since last time, Bj got a job and We got an apartment!!! We move in tommorow! I have not taken any pictures yet but we will tommorow and I will out them on! I cant wait! It is a two bedroom and its about 900 square feet! It will fit us well for a long time! Im hoping not to have to move until we leave to come home. we will see. Well we have still jsut been trying to keep ourselves busy! Went to the beach again this week and managed to sunburn myself again.. and I even put sun screen on! But its better now. We went to the Virginia Beach Aquarium this week too. It was really not worht the 23 dollars we paid to see it all but oh well now we know. We forgot to bring the camera with us... oops! The turtles were really cool though they were really big and beautiful and we touched the sting rays.

We have really enjoyed hanging out with the Olson's. They are a really neat couple and they take awsome care of their guests! Im a little sad to leave their house! We have been fed well!

Hello everyone! I havent been on here the las t few days because there has not been much going on. We are still waiting to hear from HSBC. Bj is suppose to hear by the end of the day. Bj says He is ok weither or not he gets the job, and oddly enough I fel the same way. The Lord knows what we are going through and knows what is best for us. We wouldnt want to get stuck at a job that would be awful for Bj. So we wait. I dont start work until the 21st and I cant wait to start again! I miss it so much. We are at the Greenbrier mall right now. Im sitting next to the little kids play area.... its nothing compares to PV malls. lol! We did go to the beach yesterday and play football inthe ocean. That was pretty fun! The water was great and it was over cast. In sunburned my face and Bj burned his back. Well... I dont want to bore you all to death so fro now I will say adios and write some more when I have something fun to say!
P.S. We are working on something really cool for the blog! Cant wait to show it to you all!

It looks Ferocious!!

After My interviewe was over yesterday we decided to head to the beach. It is only about 10 minutes from my store!! Super sweet! It is the Sandbridge beach and it is not as crowded as the Virginia beach. We stopped at walmart and bought some dollar flip flops(we were still in interview clothes and had not thought to bring our swimming sutff...) we get out there and the sky starts looking very dark and the clouds are coming very quickly... we park and start walking down to the beach. We noticed that a lot of people were leaving and we asked the life guard(there were only three on duty for the ENTIRE beach!) if they were making people leave. He looked up at the clouds that were coming towrard us very quickly and said, " Yeah... It looks FEROCIOUS!!!" So that was our new word for the day!! We took a few picutres and then headed out, it rained on us all the way home!

My new home!

Here is my new store!!! It is about ten minutes from the beach! Can you believe that? I went in today and had an "interview" so Lisa, the manager, could get to know me. I start on the 21st! It is a little farther away than we wanted. It will take about 25 minutes to get there from where we are living now... but no biggy.
The Lord is good! BJ had his first interview today with HSBC and he has another one tommorow at two. He's not sure how he feels about the job and is not sure if its going to be something he is strong at, but the Lord knows Bj and his heart and is not giing to give him a job he cant handle!

Here is a picture of the beach for my mother in-law...
no people just sand and ocean...
This is a less crowded beach in a community called Sandbridge
about 45 minutes for the place we are staying right now.

Exciting News...Well at least it has the potential to be...

Today started like the rest of our days here... we woke up, had breakfast with the Olson's, and then tried to think of things to do to keep us busy today. Then my BJ got a call from a man at HSBC' which is a company out here that a lot of the seminary students work at. Its a collection agency where you call and make people make their payments. Does not sound to exciting but it is a job. LOL!! So he did a phone interview and THEN they set up an interview for tommorow at 12 30! Prasie the LORD!!!!! And then I got a call from two managers out here saying that they are trying to finda store for me hear. I called my DM to see what was going on andhe said he talked to the DM out hear and I will have astore in the next few days!! This last week has really shown me how doubtful I can be! All the Lord asks me to do is trust Him... and He always pulls through! Well thats our news... pray for BJ tommorow at his interview!

Hey all... Its Sami! I think its time i officially take over the blog from my hubby! He's getting a little tired of it. I think its mostly because the conection here is a little slow so he gets tired of waiting to put the posts on. Things here are good. Church this morning was great. It was our first sunday morning in the beach area! The chruch is between 700 and 900 people! I was a little shocked! I thought it was about 300 people! Boy was I wrong! It has been raining all day today... its been wonderful! Well... I lvoe you all! Kisses to my Emmy!

We are gone to the beach I and Sami done (Thanx Mrs. Tuten for the grammer lessin).
These pictures are from the July 4th and the beach was fairly
crowded. When we left the beach at 2:30pm there was a huge
amount of traffic coming to the beach. Virginia Beach shoots off
fireworks just off shore for all that are on the beach.

Welcome to our new home. The place we
are staying at is 20 minutes from the beach.

Our new home...

This is Colonel somebody...he was very in character. He would not
let me shake his hand or pretty much even touch him. He called
George Washington a trator. I wanted to tell him I was related to
Washington, but he had a sword.

Here Sami is in front of the governors mansion in Colonial
Williamsburg...a very historic site. It is pretty humid in this picture.

Saturday night we got lost in downtown Richmond. We missed our exit because of traffic and I did not want to swerve across two lanes with a trailer... So 45 minutes later we got back on the road, however I was sick of driving at this point and we spent the night in Williamsburg. Next to the hotel was this gas station, where we bought our dinner. The gas station attendant was barricaded behind a wall of plexiglass an inch thick. The picture is of this y2k shelter the next morning.

Day 7...sorry its soo late
