Day 5 is done & now we have Day 6

Friday, June 27, 2008

Here is a video of Sam and I on the Thunderhead in Dollywood

We are now in a town called Pigeon Forge...home of Dollywood.

Day 4 is done and Day 5 beginnings

On our way to see Grambo...only we took no picture...

Elvis' awards...

Top:
there is shag carpet on the hallway walls

Right:
This is the pool room (has a pool table), the wall matches the ceiling, matches the couch.

The is called the jungle...decorated by Elvis...weird

We are on our way to Graceland. I can't wait to see the King.

And still more road...
Leaving Little Rock and heading for Memphis to meet Grandbo and the King.

This concludes Day 3 and beginnings Day 4

The second restaurant was Cock of the Walk, which served cajun food...
the highlight is fried catfish and fried pickles.

The hightlights of this day were experiencing two restaurants: the first was the Pigout Palace...

This is us leaving Oklahoma City on our way to Little Rock...

This ends Day 2 and beginnings Day 3

More ugly road!

This is called Catilac Ranch at mile marker 62 1/2 just west of Amarillo, TX...bring your own paint and you can have a blast.

I must add that before we got to Roswell I learned an
important lesson...if you look to the horizon, up over that
hill...somewhere we ran out of gas.

Yes I am serious. This stretch of forsaken highway is more
than 100 miles long and nothing until Roswell. I forgot that
my truck is only getting 9 miles to the gallon...

This was the only redeeming part of the museum.

Bring your reading glasses because there is a lot of
articles, documents, and afidavids...I was'nt a believer
before, but now I am!

Welcome to the International UFO Museum in Roswell, NM. This research center is "state of the art."

Roswell 95 miles...checking off the bucket list.

I like to call this picture...more road.

The end of Day 1 and the beginning of Day 2

More road...

More gas...at this point I've been getting about 12 miles to the gallon.

ON I 40 entering New Mexico.
Here we are staying with Sam's uncle Bobby and anut
Dorothy in Albuquerque...unfortunately we got no picture with them.

It's Me!

Hey everyone! i havent had the chance the blog anything yet... I miss you all especially you nicky and little emmy! the drive has been great so far, but then again im not the one actually driving... im the lucky one in the passenger seat. we have had many adventures including a clsoe encounter with the third kind in Roswell. Blog more later! love you all!!!

We are at the meteor crater outside of Flag...

check this off the bucket list.

The first of many fuel stops :(

About a little more than an hour into our trip on I17 we hit traffic. Here we are completely stop on the hill up to Camp Verde. The Good news is that it is hard to crash, flip a trailer, or fish tail when your not moving.

Day 1 of our adventure was fast. The Truck pulled just fine...the last pull into Flagstaff was the hardest of the whole trip Monday. Thank you to all the advice on how to drive a truck and trailer...with all that wisdom in my head I feel like a professional truck driver.
